Young Canadians in Finance Toronto is pleased to invite you to what promises to be an extremely interesting, educational and enlightening evening with two young and bright entrepreneurs from Montreal, Jonathan Ferrari and Neil Cuggy.
When: Thursday, November 24, 2016
Where: Offices of Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc. - 333 Bay Street, Suite 5100
Time: 6:00 - 8:00PM
Jonathan and Neil are both former Investment Bankers from RBC Capital Markets. In 2012, both left RBC to pursue their passion for entrepreneurship by starting up MTL Capital, a Search Fund (an interesting fund raising vehicle for entrepreneurs originated by H. Irving Grousbeck, a professor at Stanford University). Following an unsuccessful search for a company, in 2014, they started up their own business. Goodfood (makegoodfood.ca), formerly Culiniste, provides ready-to-cook meal kits designed by in-house chefs who each week prepare a series of recipes.
Jonathan and Neil will speak to us about their rollercoaster journey from an Investment Banker to raising capital for a Search Fund and then finally starting up their own business which has significantly grown from 3 employees to 100 over the last two years. Their success has been mentioned in the press a lot lately: http://business.financialpost.com/investing/investing-pro/new-capital-gives-former-rbc-banker-the-ability-to-take-its-meals-at-home-model-nationwide
Following the talk there will be a networking session open for all. Refreshments and drinks will be provided.
Attendance is free, but space is limited and is on a first come, first serve basis. Please RSVP.
See you there!
