Young Canadians in Finance (Toronto) is pleased to cordially invite you to an evening with Mr. Charles Cazabon, Managing Partner, Co-Investments and Diversified Portfolio at BDC Capital (venture capital arm of Business Development Bank of Canada).

Mr. Cazabon has over 25 years of venture capital experience. During his career, he has worked in multiple capacities at outstanding organizations like BDC Capital, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec's investment subsidiaries and various PE and VC firms in Montreal and Toronto. During his career with BDC Capital, he has held a variety of positions including Acting EVP-Investments, VP- Venture Capital and Managing Director-Life Sciences.

He has served on numerous public and private company boards and is a former President and member of the Board of Réseau Capital, the Quebec Venture Capital and Private Equity Association. He currently sits on the board of directors of four companies. He holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, a Master of Science in Biology from Laurentian University and an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo.

In his 25-year long journey in VC and private investing Mr. Cazabon has seen it all. From the Dotcom bubble to the financial crisis of 2008 to the birth and ongoing rise of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Vehicles. He will also talk about the current Venture Capital ecosystem in North America and share his insight on where he sees the future of the industry.

After his talk, we will open the floor for questions from the audience. Come prepared with questions because the diverse backgrounds of the audience will sure make for a fun discussion. To end the event, we will then break into a networking session where refreshments and drinks will be provided.
